According to a new research, antidepressants may not only alleviate depression, but also give emotional stability, help gaining more self-confidence and calmness.

In past, scientists observed that treatment with antidepressants provided a side effect, which gave some changes in one's personality, but they did not pay attention to that fact, considering it unimportant. However, recent studies showed the effect of these drugs not only helps overcoming depression, but also regulates mood, sleep and appetite. A person becomes more sociable, open and less jittery.

Of course, we still cannot make definitive conclusions. Doctors need to work more to except relapse of depression, alas, cases of repeated depression after treatment are still common.
