Experimental drug to enhance female sexual desire called Flibanserin (BIMT-17) was developed by German pharmaceutical companies Boehringer Ingelheim, and it demonstrated its effectiveness in clinical trials, The Bloomberg writes. Today it is the first drug for treatment of female sexual dysfunction.

As it turned out during the two trials involving 1,378 patients taking the medication for six months, 22% of the women had more "satisfying sexual event" rather than in the control group receiving placebo.
