Diabetes Increases The Risk Of Arrhythmias In Women

Diabetes by 26% increases the risk of arrhythmias, heart failure and chronic fatigue in women. The study covered data from 35,000 patients for seven years.

Atria fibrillation is the most common type of breach of heart contractions, leading to the formation of blood clots. The study used data on 17 372 patients, and in the beginning with 3,6% of diabetics had been diagnosed with arrhythmia compared with 2.5% among the group without diabetes. The difference was 44%. For seven years, diabetics often occurred seizures atrial fibrillation and the risk increased by 26% among women.
