Complications from the flu, reflected negatively on the heart work, may be one of the main causes of death from the disease. This was announced by British scientists advising all patients cores make flu shot. In their study they did not take into account

British researchers studied data on the number of deaths from acute myocardial infarction during outbreaks of influenza in 1932 - 2008 respectively. The result was that during outbreaks among men who had died as a result of infection, 35 - 50% were lost from problems with the cardiovascular system. The results of research work were published in the journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases.
Experts believe that the
influenza virus causes inflammation and affects the molecular paths that control blood coagulation. Such influence could destabilize the fat deposits that accumulate on artery walls and lead to the formation of blood clots blocking the coronary arteries. Only a small amount of research has been devoted to the issue of patients to get vaccinated against influenza cores, but the few facts that are available indicate that this is worth doing, stressed the researchers.
Currently, the vaccine against seasonal influenza in many countries is recommended that all those who have chronic diseases. However, vaccination is usually offered to patients with cardiovascular disease, but not with conditions such as hypertension. Nevertheless, quite a few people at risk be vaccinated. In Britain, for example, only 47.2% of patients with chronic illnesses receive vaccination against seasonal influenza.
